Getting started

Install PC Agent on Windows

Get the installer from the admin, install it, add Apple's USB service, open it.

PC Agent is the program that controls your phones. Install it on the PC the phones are plugged into.

1. Get the installer

  1. Send this to the Titan admin:

Hi! Please send me the Titan PC Agent installer for Windows.
  2. You get a file named like TitanAgentSetup-0.4.0.exe. Save it to Downloads.

2. Install

  1. Double-click TitanAgentSetup-….exe.

    Installer file in Downloads

  2. If Windows shows Windows protected your PC: press More info, then Run anyway.

SmartScreen dialog: More info, Run anyway

  3. Windows asks whether this app may make changes to your device. Press Yes.

  4. Press Next on each screen, then Install.

    Installer wizard, Install button

  5. Leave Launch Titan PC Agent now ticked and press Finish.

    Last installer screen, Finish button

Installing needs administrator approval once. After that PC Agent runs as you, without it.

3. Install Apple Mobile Device Support

Windows cannot see an iPhone without Apple's USB service. A fresh Windows PC does not have it, and the Titan installer does not include it. Without it, no phone ever appears. Do this once per PC.

  1. Press Start, type PowerShell, right-click Windows PowerShell and choose Run as administrator.

  2. Paste this line and press Enter:

    winget install --id Apple.AppleMobileDeviceSupport --accept-package-agreements --accept-source-agreements
  3. Start the service:

sc.exe start "Apple Mobile Device Service"
  4. Check it. This line must print Running:

(Get-Service -Name 'Apple Mobile Device Service').Status

Install Apple Mobile Device Support with the line above. Do not install the Apple Devices app from the Microsoft Store (9NP83LWLPZ9K) instead: it does not add this service, and phones stay invisible. iTunes is not needed either.

4. Open PC Agent

  1. PC Agent opens a page in your browser called PC Agent.

PC Agent page in the browser, status Not paired

  2. It says Not paired. That is correct: you pair it in the next step.

PC Agent has no window of its own. While it runs, the Titan icon sits near the clock (bottom right). Windows may hide it behind the ^ arrow next to the clock.

  • Double-click the Titan icon to open the PC Agent page again.
  • Right-click it for Open and Quit agent.
  • PC Agent starts by itself when you sign in to Windows. To stop that, untick Start PC Agent when I sign in to Windows on the PC Agent page.

The same page has Open logs and Open log folder for when support asks for logs.

Done when: the PC Agent page is open and says Not paired.
